OPERATOR SAFETY. Mounted over the feed table, the four-position upper feed control bar enables the operator to stop the feed rollers and select forward or reverse. The patented Bottom Feed Stop Bar is strategically located to make it possible for an operator’s leg to strike the bar and shut off the feed mechanism either intentionally or automatically in an emergency situation. CLUTCHLESS PTO SYSTEM. A clutchless PTO system allows the cutter to be engaged without using a traditional slip clutch or idler pulley and without sliding the engine. The system is simple to maintain - once under the shield, belt changes are easily accomplished without the use of tools. PATENTED SMARTFEED SYSTEM. The patented SmartFeed system helps to increase operator productivity while reducing strain on vital engine parts. The feed-sensing control system monitors engine rpm and automatically stops and reverses the rollers when feeding larger, hardwood material. EUROPEAN HITCH AND SURGE BRAKE. The full type approved European undercarriage comes with a Knott axle and surge brake. The heavy-duty undercarriage provides good towing performance on-road. POWERFUL PERFORMANCE. The Deutz TD2.9L Tier 4 Final engine delivers 55 kW (74 hp) of power for excellent performance. FEED ROLLER. A large letterbox infeed opening (44 cm x 30 cm) helps boost productivity by reducing the need to trim material before feeding it into the chipper.
