Il sistema di macinazione è costituito da 2 parti: la prima chiamata Cippatore, serve per tagliare pro- dotti legnosi o fibrosi come il legno, tiglio, salice, etc; la seconda, mediante martelletti mobili, tritura prodotti come fogliame, siepi, terriccio, scarti di cu- cina e garantisce il buon funzionamento anche se casualmente venissero introdotti sassi o chiodi. La finezza del macinato e del composto si può re- golare mediante una serie di aste o crivello. La naturale trasformazione del triturato biologico crea una sostanza ricca di valori proteici da riutilizzare come concime.
